First of all
LET US TELL YOU THE STORY
THE TALE OF SANTIAGO AND COLLE É ROSÉ
A year ago, while exploring the scenic Tuscan countryside with dear friends, we stumbled upon Colle Bereto, a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque hills of Chianti. This renowned winery is celebrated for their exceptional chiantis, a true treasure in Italy.
Little did I know, the surprise that awaited us.
As we arrived at Colle Bereto, the master winemaker Bernardo revealed his newfound passion: a meticulously crafted Rosé wine, infused with an abundance of love and care.
Fascinated by his dedication and craftsmanship, we immersed ourselves in the artistry of his winemaking process, discovering the the magic behind this beautiful Rosé. The dry-farming process of Colle Bereto inspires the grapevines to reach their long roots down to the heart of the this land to find this water, sacredly protected beneath the hills of Radda in Chianti. The combination of Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and this privileged water absolutely promised an extraordinary experience.
Lo and behold, with each sip of the Rosé, the brilliance of Bernardo's creation became undeniably evident, transcending the ordinary.
Fueled by enthusiasm (and perhaps one too many Rosés), We approached Bernardo with the idea of importing this exceptional small-batch wine. Though intrigued, he may have questioned the feasibility of this American duo to pull it off.
Back in the states, we sought the expert opinions of Santiago's closest restaurant-owner friends, Greg St Clair from Rossotti's Alpine Inn in Portola Valley, CA and William Kovel from Catalyst in Cambridge, MA. We send them bottles of this Rosé, we eagerly awaited their feedback.
Greg's response was immediate:
"this rosé is as beautiful as it is dangerously drinkable"
And then came William's reply, affirming our discovery:
"We tried your Rosé tonight after service"
"It is f*@king delicious... could stand up to any French Rosé"
"my staff declared it the Wine of the Night"
Inspired by their validation, Santiago reached out to his former assistant, formerly known as Engel Swan - now turned up-and-coming filmmaker Iñigo Abaroa, to bring Colle É Rosé to life with vibrant storytelling and captivating audiovisual creative.
With Iñigo as the newly appointed CEO, Colle É Rosé was reborn, capturing the hearts of enthusiasts and quickly selling out at the winery.
Now, we invite you to join us on this enchanting journey and experience the magic of our Italian Rosé
May your year be filled with boundless joy, unforgettable moments, and the extraordinary experience of Colle É Rosé.
Warm regards,
Santiago Vaquero, Iñigo & Engel Swan
